Dedicated to the promotion of political art
The AAEC is dedicated to the promotion of political art in American life and the celebration of free speech and a free press as essential to a healthy democracy.
This year's annual gathering of the nation's editorial cartoonists, political illustrators and comics journalists will take place in Sacramento, California on Sept. 20-23. Registration for the three day festival is now open.
After celebrating its 60th anniversary in 2017, the AAEC is retiring its faithful ink bottle icon and rebooting its logo for the digital age. Look for more changes in the future.
The original AAEC website is currently still up and active at editorialcartoonists.com! There you can continue to see daily cartoons and news, and cartoonists can renew their membership and update their AAEC information.
Why donate?
If you feel as strongly about cartooning, satire and speaking truth to power as we do, give today to the AAEC. Your donation will help support education (via Cartoons for the Classroom), outreach to young cartoonists (through the annual John Locher Award) and free speech causes. (Donations are not tax deductible at this time.)
